RE:ENERGY is a regional business conference dedicated to the energy industry in South East Europe.

This year’s conference deals with the main challenges that the SEE energy sector is facing in order to secure security of energy supply.

According to researches of South East Europe energy market, almost 80% of its security supply is based on fossil energy sources. This trend is expected to continue in the following 10 years. There are no larger investments in renewable sources, apart from several wind projects.

Pricing policies remain the key point of building a sustainable energy market, while the electricity trading needs better cross-border cooperation in order to ensure security of supply.

New investments in energy infrastructure are precondition for further market development. The governments need better strategies for attracting investors since the region is lacking financial sources.
